Luca Marinelli Cast as Mussolini

The Italian film “M. Son of the Century,” which is based on the book by Antonio Scurati, will soon begin filming at Cinecittà Studios. Wright will helm each of the eight episodes. Benito Mussolini will be played by Luca Marinelli.

Actor Marinelli has won accolades and has performed at festivals including Berlin and Venice. He co-starred in the movie “The Old Guard” with Charlize Theron, and he is also well-known for his parts in the films “Martin Eden” and “They Call Me Jeeg.”

The Apartment Pictures (Fremantle) and Pathé are partners in the production of “M. Son of the Century” by Sky Studios and Lorenzo Mieli.

The series, which will debut only on Sky Atlantic and the streaming service Now in all of Sky’s European regions, was scripted by Stefano Bises (“Gomorrah”) and Davide Serino (“Esterno Notte”). International rights are represented by Fremantle.

The original fascist ideology, founded in Italy by Giovanni Gentile and Benito Mussolini, is referred to as Italian fascism (Italian: fascismo italiano), often known as classical fascism or just fascism. The Republican Fascist Party, which controlled the Italian Social Republic from 1943 to 1945, and the National Fascist Party (PNF), which dominated the Kingdom of Italy from 1922 to 1943, are two political organisations linked to the philosophy. Both were led by Benito Mussolini. The post-World War II Italian Social Movement and later Italian neo-fascist movements are also linked to Italian fascism.
